Replace a 6 ounce can of tomato paste by mixing: 1/4 cup Tomato Powder, 1/4 cup hot water, and salt to taste (1/4 tsp at least). Here are quick and easy recipes for substituting Tomato Powder for other common canned tomato products:
Replace an 8 ounce can of tomato sauce by mixing: 1/4 cup Tomato Powder, 1/2 cup hot water, and salt to taste (1/4 tsp at least).
Replace a 16 ounce can of crushed tomatoes by mixing: 1/4 cup Tomato Powder, 3/4 cup hot water, and salt to taste (1/4 tsp at least).

Tomato Powder can replace fresh tomatoes in a recipe, but many of our customers like to add this ingredient to dishes made with fresh tomatoes to enhance the flavor. Tomato powder adds zip to your summertime garden-fresh salsa!
