Our ZIP POUCH contains a FULL CUP of fresh tasting Tomato Powder for sale!  Excellent for backpackers, RV'ers, or for your cupboard!  What could be easier than using our Tomato Powder processed from harvest red tomatoes? Stir freeze-dried tomato powder into water to make a tomato sauce.  For tomato paste, just add more powder until you get the consistency you desire.  Add a little (or a lot) of tomato powder to your soups, stews, or other dishes to add the smooth texture of creamy tomato sauce to your meal.  Use what you need, and store the rest for later.

STORAGE NOTE:  Tomato powder likes to absorb moisture, so store in a dry place.  You can place a small, mesh bag of white rice in the top of the container once opened to help it maintain its dry form.

Versatile and tasty
I got this just because I was curious. Normally I keep canned tomato sauce around so wasn't sure how useful it would really be. Turns out it's extremely useful! Lots of times I want to add just a bit of tomato flavor to rice, a casserole, meatloaf mix, etc. Sometimes a can of sauce is too much and some gets wasted. There's no waste with the powdered tomato! I can add exactly the amount I want without waste. Also, canned tomato sauce adds a lot of liquid - sometimes you want that and sometimes you don't. I like using the powder for those times that I don't want to add a lot of extra liquid. I'll continue to use canned sauce when making chili, spaghetti sauce, etc. but I often find myself using the powder as a great - and healthy - seasoning. Will definitely be buying this again.

Good Stuff
Even though this isn't to be confused with a good canned tomato paste, it's really close in many circumstances. Sometimes better. Certain aspects of the flavor are way better. Just make sure it isn't used in such density to imitate tomato paste. Any professional chef would find a place for this once the best use was understood.
