Our dehydrated food is made for everyday use, but, when opened and stored correctly, it can last up to 24 months, depending on climate variations. If you live in a humid environment, keep your dehydrated food in the refrigerator to extend the life of the product.
As far as nutritional content, our dehydrated foods are nearly identical to the nutritional value of fresh fruits and veggies. How is this possible? Well, through a special, slow air-drying process we evaporate the water from our fresh fruits and veggies but preserve all of the vital nutrients. In fact, our dehydration method maintains the nutritional content of the food even better than freezing or canning.
Best of all, the air-dry dehydration process allows the vegetables to rehydrate to their original shape and texture, maintaining the fresh flavor of the food in its natural state.

Cooking with Dehydrated Food
Never cooked with dehydrated food before? It's easy, and fun. You can actually use dehydrated food in place of any fresh ingredient you like. Simply calculate the quantity of dried food to use in your recipe based on our handy rehydration chart, and add it directly into soups, stews, sauces, casseroles, etc. The options are limitless! To saute or fry our dehydrated veggies, soak for 20 to 30 minutes, and add to your oiled frying pan.
When it comes to our dehydrated beans and legumes, we've done all the work for you. Unlike store-bought dry beans that need to be cleaned, then sorted, and soaked for hours, our dehydrated beans and legumes are ready to use. Simply simmer for 10-15 minutes, and that's it. Bon appetite!
