HOW TO MAKE APPLE FRITTERS
Apple fritters are a fall staple, and now you can make them any time of the year with HHF Freeze-Dried Apple Dices!
Save time peeling and dicing fresh apples with our freeze-dried fruit. You can use other freeze-dried fruit in place of the apples OR combine multiple fruits to make your own fruit medley fritter! Peach and mango fritters, anyone?
Using a flax egg increases the nutrition of this recipe and does not alter the taste. A good source of fiber, ground flax promotes healthy digestion and contains heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids.
Enjoy!

DIRECTIONS
Make 1 Flax Egg: Add 3 Tbsp water to 1 Tbsp ground flax and stir to combine. Set aside, and it will create a gel.
Combine Dry Ingredients: Add 1/4 cup sugar, 2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt & 1.5 tsp cinnamon to 1.5 cups all-purpose flour and mix.
Combine Wet Ingredients & Dry Ingredients: Add 1/4 cup applesauce and flax egg. Add at least 1/2 cup milk, up to 1/4 cup more if needed to moisten the batter.
Fold in Apple Dices: Add 2 cups Harmony House Foods Freeze-Dried Apple Dices.
Heat a High-Heat Frying Oil to 375°: Add grapeseed oil to about 2 inches above the bottom of the pot.
Pat Out Apple Fritters: Measure out 1/3 cup batter and pat into the desired shape on a lightly floured surface.
