Everyone knows that lentils are good for you, but they're a lot of work to prepare. Right? Sure it's a lot of work, but we've done it for you! This superior recipe is a stunning presentation of our fine quality lentils. The organic Quinoa adds just the right amount of texture, and a pinch of date sugar melds the flavors into a gotta-have-another-bowl moment! (OU Kosher)
Pour entire Greek lentil soup contents into saucepan. Add 2 cups water and stir well to blend seasonings. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Cover, remove from heat, and let stand an additional 5 minutes. Stir gently and serve.
Each lentil quinoa soup blend can be soaked prior to cooking to reduce the need for fuel. This can be done at mealtime or early in the day to save time during meal preparation. Just open the zip pouch, pour about 1/2 cup water in the pouch, and reseal. When you reach your campsite, simply pour the contents of the pouch into your pot, add the remaining water, and heat to serve.
